I've had it running once. Ran for about 30 minutes and it ran Great! Can't get it to run again. For one thing, it is cranking slower than before. New battery and I recharge it after my starting attempts. (6volt). Starter checks out good. I'm getting spark. However, I noticed that the spark plugs are dry when I took them out. I have been using the choke and it spits gas out of the intake. Is this normal? Why would the gas not be making it to the plug? I removed the manifold and checked the gasket, which looked ok. Put it all back together and same problem. I haven't tried jumping it with a 12 volt, yet. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

how did you check the spark? does your tractor have a front mount or side mount distributor? when you say gas is running out of the intake do you mean the back of the carburator?

checked spark by putting plug against manifold and turned it over. Side mount distributor. New wires, points, condensor, plugs. Gas is getting to the float bowl (I removed the drain plug and it flowed out). When I say gas was running out of the intake I mean the air intake. This has happened before by the way the rubber hose that connects the air filter is breaking down from being wet with gas.
