My son in law is pulling his hair out. He and I are trying to use a Model 7020 A-C two wd tractor to do everything on a cattle ranch but
brew coffee. After the boss has invested a small fortune in repairing the old 7020 it turns out that the mechanic who's doing the work has
determined that the cable assembly which is used on the shifter to go to low range is apparently stretched too far to operate the shifting
mechanism. After a month of searching the word is that the cable is obsolete, out of production, and unavailable to say the least. Not really
the answer we were hoping for.
I am hoping that someone on the ever helpful N-Board can give me some suggestions as to how to get parts to get the old 7020 running as the snow is soon to fly and the tractor is how we feed the herd.
TIA for any assistance you might lend. Norm-wy

Norm, If all else fails have a new cable made. You might try to get a pto shift cable from an auto parts supply store and have a clever machine shop make up and press on new ends. HTH Allen (;^)
