8n Hydrolic question

I was plowing some snow yesterday, and I could not get the blade to go all the way to the ground. Also, periodically the blade would raise up on its own, and not go back down until I pushed in on the clutch, and worked the lever quite a bit. Any clues as to what might cause this?

Sounds to me like you may have a cam follower pin about worn out on lift. This is a common ailment for the position control on all the Ford tractors.
Except of course the 9N and 2N which didn't have position control to begine with.

If you have an 8N, you may be running your hydraulics in draft control rather than position control. The little lever under the right side of the seat should be vertical. If you have a 2/9N I got no clue. HTH Steve 8N 169302
