It's getting scary out there. They definitly want my guns. They're getting my money. They want to indoctrinate my kids. I feel the noose tightening a little more every day. Whatever happened to the land of the free and the Home of the brave? More like the land of the fee and the home of the slave! Can that be translated into the 75 languages that they put the motor vehicle forms into? How did it get this way? As I see it, we let ourselves be lied to and once we accepted the lies, they just got bigger and bigger. Now they have us on the edge of our seats waiting for the next "Terrorist" attack. I'm Irish, and to me , what they're calling "Terrorists" are what I grew up calling Freedom Fighters. But now anyone who opposes a Govt anywhere, no matter how bad it is, is a Terrorist. Oh I'm soooo scared of them !! Anyway, Tuesday is our day to figuratively lift our middle fingers in a giant "Jersey Salute" to all politicians everywhere. Throw the bums out! Vote third party, any third party! send them a message, I want the nation that my grandfathers grew up in, back. Not a High tech, feudalistic, police state. Wishing you all well and hoping that they never consider privately owned tractors to be a threat to the state. Regards, Rich

This is a good post! However, "there ain't a @#@#thing we can do about it". I'm a VERY PATRIOTIC AMERICAN, Vietnam Veteran and all that, however, I feel that this country is down the tubes. Only problem is: Where should we go?? Other countries have the same troubles, and many more. I always vote LIBERTERIAN PARTY for any candidates that they are fielding in my voting precinct. For local candidates, it's a matter of who you know. (I still live in a rural area) Voting is essential for a participatory democracy, but I'll fight to the death against any effort to make it mandatory! Yep, this ol' country ain't what it used to be, and it's gonna get worse. What's an old country boy to do?? Can't get too radical against the #@!^% assholes, because they are ,more powerfull than me! They have guns, and are empowered to use them, while if I use mine to defend myself and my way of life against them, I'll be in Serious Trouble!! This has come up here before, and will come up in the future, because it is not a solvable problem! If anyone can find a better country to go to, please let me know. Yep, I tend to gravitate toward the Philippines, (planning to go there before Christmas, and come back when the grass starts to get outta hand) but, as far as living there year-round, it's impossible. Think our politicians are bad..heck their president is in Jail! Everybody over there has their hand out. It is the acccepted way of doing business over there. (that's one of the reasons we don't have better business relations with them, our anti-bribery laws give the edge to others with out them.) Yep,just looked at the CDO forecast..right now, it's 91degrees. Here it's barely above freezing, and they had frost in Montross. I'm listening to the Stained Grass Bluegrass program on WAMU. It's a Sunday morning tradition with me. You can listen to it one the net if you are into Bluegrass Gospel Music. Used to be more Bluegrass on the sation,, one of my favourite programs was from 3-6 pm everyday, major Bluegrass. However, the Yuppies stopped that, and put Boring Public Affairs Programs in the place of the nice bluegrass! Just like all the rest of the Public Stations! Please pardon my rant. But it sure feels good!! ;-) And please vote, if you have the stomach!!
