Does anyone know what I should look for if I want to mount a snow blade on my WM3? Should I take an old truck plow and fabricate a bracket or should I try to find an old blade? Is it as difficult a search as my quest for a Dearborn Wagon? Or better yet, for a ford script storm cover for my 8n?

Any help is appreciated on either item..... :)

I built a snow blade for our Wagner loader equipped 8n a few years ago. I used 2" square tubing for the main frame and also to keep the weight of the blade down. I remove the dump cylinder and use those lines to angle the blade from the seat. Works slick.

An old truck blade is probably the easiest to find. There's a couple ways to mount it. First would be the most work where it actually replaces the bucket. Requires more bracket fabrication and removal of the plow frame. The way I see many loader/bobcat etc plow mounts is with just the ears welded in the bucket so the plow mounts just like on a truck with two pins. Ears don't cause any trouble when using the bucket in summer. The important thing is however you would do it make sure you keep the trip action of the blade, or you'll be sure to find every frozen lump and rock there is. A third way is if you check the archives a guy named Norman in MN did a real clean mount of a complete Meyers hydroturn unit on his N with no loader. This would require a 12V system.

Hi Rick. Wagner made a blade attachment for it's WM4 loader:

So I'm guessing that it would attach to the WM3, but I'm not totally sure. However, at least you know it can be done, and what to look for.

Hope this helps..... ..... Ed

Well Rick,
If I knew exactly what a Wagner WM3 was I might try to help you.
Are you trying to put a snowplow on an N or what?
