Well its time to put those autolite 437 plugs in .Since Im doing that I might replace the wires.Does anyone know where you can buy copper plug wires that are already cut and the ends installed.I hate to put those little metal tips on because its easy to crush them or crush the little stick in part...Thanks R.M. Usually the eletronic book says do not run wyres parallel to each other which is what the plug wyres are doing in the tube. Has anyone run their wyres outside the tubes? I was thinking the same thing, put in new plugs, but the wyres must be old, looks like a lot of work removing the tube. Maybe the tube can stay in place and you thread the new wyres in. BC Mike C

Mike..... ....parallel sparkie wires innna 2N tube, NOT a problem. Here's why. Modern coppercore ignition wires have a much improved high voltage insulation covering them. And the lower level of sparkie volts reduces the cross-coupling effect of parallel wires to barely detectable levels.

Hardest part about replacing 2N sparkies is feeding 'em thru the tube. Feed 'em thru from the plug end to the distributor nipple. Then install the distributor nipple ends on the sparkie wire.

Now-a-days, you can get silicon fishing greese at your local hardware electrical store, use that to help slip your sparkie wire thru the tube. BUT remember, you have to use a "fishing wire" to pull the new sparkie wire thru the tube. Many just cut-off the old sparkie boot and use that wire to pull its replacement thru the tube..... ..Dell

If they had the boots on both ends.It would be kind of tough to get through the wire tube along the top of engine.
