8N Parking Brake Question

Just a quick question, I was looking through the "Bits and Pieces" picture section, and I found a picture of the brake pawls for a 2N. My 8N doesn't have any fancy curly-Q grab handles for putting on the parking brakes. You have to reach your finger down underneath and drag the pawls up. Are these fancy handles standard (mine must be missing), or optional (where can I get some) or something somebody made? The picture in the parts manual looks just like what is on my tractor. Take a look- Thanks

I have seen a tractor where the brake paul has had a hole drilled in it and a piece of no. 8 fencing wyre inserted and aimed upwards so that you could reach it easy from the seat. Parts required 2 holes and 3 feet wyre. BC Mike C

The Jubilee/NAA came with these handles on the brake pawls.
The part number is 2782.

You would have to do some work to install them but I think they are worth having.
I have a 8N and a Jubilee and will be making something like them for my 8N.
I don't know if they are available new or not. I suspect you will have to make something like them for a 8N. I got the part number from the Master Parts Manual which was printed in 1953 and shows them for the Naa only.

I have never seen nor heard of any brake handles that were stock. I think it's likely that most were one-of-a-kind fabrications. Would be interested to know if there were any aftermarket handles sold.
