people need to know how important these are.stopped at a friends house today his wife said he was out in the field with his tractor stuck between two trees.scratching my head i told her i had to go see this.as i was walking out there i could hear a chainsaw running and sure enough when i got there he had it hung between some trees .he was hogging some thick brush between trees and tried to stop and we all know what happen next..... ..no stop..... ...hung a 3 in dia tree crushing his running board and bent the clutch pedal.he was smart enough to jump off before the tree got to him(but not smart enough to put the orc on he had in the garage)he said when the tree finaly hit the axle she raise up about 3 feet in the front and started diggin .he got to the throtle and shut it down.was a scary site indeed.after some precision tree triming we got it out and the orc intalled.in my book these are a must, if you disagree i only hope you have plenty of medical insurance and or life insurance. sorry to be so long winded but this was a real eye opener

When it is all done and no one got hurt, you can laugh about it. Too bad you didn't have a camera with you. That would be great to post when someone asks what a ORC is for.

Without an ORC (Over Running Clutch) you are not only endangering yourself but anyone in the area including your loved ones. THINK! The title, I beleive, was necessary to catch as much attention as possible to the dangers involved.

windy at all. The importance of an orc can not be stressed enough especially for someone who is not familiar with these tractors.

Take care,Terry
