Oil in exhaust port

Today i removed the exhaust manifold on the 2N. It had a crack on the section which is number four valve, if you count from the front to the rear of the tractor. Only the exhaust portion was cracked. When i looked into the exhaust port it was wet with oil unlike the other ports which were carboned up a little but dry. Was number four exhaust port wet because of the cracked manifold or could it be some other problem with the valve ?
Thanks

Is that cylinder burning correctly? What does the sparkplug look like? It it oily too? Have ya got a bad plug wire?—broken piston ring?—low compression? (minimum = 90 psi).
