Any for sale, prices and pictures? It will only be used a little on a lake lot I just bought.

Rod-

If you want one for a toy, just keep looking although I stronglt suggest you watch this site for a couple of weeks to see what you are getting into. There are 3 main things you need to closely evaluate when buying any tractor: engine, hydraulics/pto, and the drive train (clutch and tranny). Just because a tractor looks good, has a good story, runs, doesn't mean you won't be tearing into it soon. For example, the 3 point system may move up and down when you try it, bu will it hold several hundred pounds up for at least a minute?

If you need a tractor for work at the lake you need to realize that Ns have some limitations that you won't have with a later model tractor. Take your time and learn the facts before jumpin' in.

And, if you get an N, get an 8 with the sidemount distributor.

Not blasting 8Ns but I would consider a Farmall, Fergason or a later model Ford tractor. Seems 8N's are becoming more of a collectable tractor and market prices are way up. especially if you just need a working tractor.

Also check local paper, and any "PennySaver" or "Thrifty Nickle" sort of papers in your area--ours are full of 2N/9N/8Ns every week.
