Anyone know what happened to the archives? I have been wanting to re read some stuff but cannot get them to come up. I even typed in 8n and it told me there was nothing. Thanks

As it was explained to me last week: the archives sorts itself or something on aregular basis. While it's doing that, it is inaccesible.

It ain't sortin. The non-workin' archives started non-workin' at exactly the same time they made the IP post changes in the long view. (Which was a good change IMHO.)

In the past, individual posts listed the Posting IP address next to the name, but not in the long "[+]" view. Now if you notice, it does, along with a little post serial number ID tag...

Ever since I saw that go in, the archives haven't worked. I know, I've been yelled at for not using them while they don't work! I'm sure we've all experienced the fix one thing / break two others syndrome...

Anyhoo, it's a great addition to the forum that all the hecklers should take note of...for example, the other day when old Dave OH was haranguing me, he tried to hang an "anonymous" post under mine...but he didn't notice that the forum tagged both posts with the same IP address...

I think this should help limit the anonymous shennanigans.
