got a quick question, with a 6 volt positive ground system, when charging the battery is needed,{yup, the cutout relay went bad and drained the battery}I normally disconnect cables from the battery, but say I did not want to,how would you hook the charger,, positive "hot"on the charger to positive "grd" on battery??? would it short out if hooked this way,, often wondered, but just disconnect cables, it is a good way to remember to keep the cable clean any how,, I praised the tractor up the other day about the 6 volt starting in any weather to a buddy who wanted to get a 12 volt system,, jinxed myself I guess,, but will still stick with the 6 volt for sure,, never have a problem,, shoot there I go again,, hahah pat

Positive to positive, negative to negative. If you hook it up wrong, you will know immediately, as you will have a lot of sparks and will peg the needle on your charger.

It's ALWAYS positive to positive. Always. A battery doesn't care which post is connected to ground, it still is what it is.... But you really knew that, I'll bet..... .
