Being as it insists on staying in the high 20's here It was getting just to cold to get anything done in the shop. Wearing all those clothes to stay warm was to inhibiting so I built a wood stove out of a couple 55 gal. drums & stuck a pipe through the cieling & presto!!!!! 50 degrees in the shop. Working in a Tshirt in Jan. is something I can get real used to.

Here is a link to a single barrel stove kit. Using two, the second one is connected to the lower barrel via stovepipe to capture heat that would have gone straight up the chimney. Try a search for "barrel stove kit"

Hey Rusty,

I have been usn' that set-up for 50 yrs. back in PA. 'Bout every 5 yrs., I make a new set-up.
Good to have drums on hand. Resources for metal drums are dryin' out :})
