Anybody know what the windchill factor is at 13 MPH at 7 degrees? Mighty cold is what it is! Just got back from running the '49 3miles over to the gas station to fill up. Yesterday I flooded her so I let her sit overnite to dry off. This morning I got her started but the battery took quite a whuppin so I figured as long as I could use some gas anyway the battery could use a good charging and off I went. Six miles round trip is quite a trek at this temperature even with coffee at the gas station and halfhour of shootin the bull in the middle. Coulda used a second set of Carhartts. Maybe I will just get gas in a can from now on..... Nah! Where is the fun in that.

...to have a wind chill index or heat index. Is it supposed to make you feel better, or worse? Hot is hot and cold is cold so if the wind makes it feel like it's -32, then why not just call it -32. If the humidity makes it feel like it's +110, why not just call it +110? I think the whole whole world is going crazy, except for me. And I wonder about myself sometimes....

Wind chill charts for summer time. Now that would make ya feel good. Leme see now, 100° and 80% humidity with a 40mph breeze would make me feel . . . hmmm, seems like that'd still be hot? And they took away the "wind wings" and hood vents. I always liked those.

Pitch I was down by the lake the other day and the wind picked up and blew quite hard. It was about 25F and I am 57, with the wind chill I felt much older. Hope this helps. BC Mike C

Well up here in Canada today, running my 2N in 3rd gear over to do the neighbours yard I was probably pushing more than -35 C wind chill.

It was -15 C with enough wind here so that they said the temp was close to -35 with the wind chill, they are forecasting -30 tonite, and -10 in the am with enough wind to make it feel like -39 in the morning ...

Think I'll let my N enjoy tomorrow hunkered down in the garage while I watch the super bowl...

See my post above for the discussion of my day of fun ... :)

Lyle.

I always wonder why the weather man never tells what the heat index is when the wind isn't blowin' and you're settin' in the sunshine. All they want to tell you is how dang cold it is. Buckeye.
