Levelling lift arm problem

My lift arm with the levelling device has never worked since I got my 2N. The other day I was moving snow with my back blade, and when I went to park her in the shed, the blade caught on the door, and pulled the lower half of the arm right out of the female half. The male threads seem to be completely stripped, I can't tell about the female threads. Any ideas on a fix for this until I can find a new arm that won't cost me an arm and a leg? I was thinking I would just drill a hole through both pieces where it is level, and put a bolt through there. I don't have a welder.

Thanks for the replies. The biggest problem here in Canada is the parts prices. They seem to be a lot higher than in the U.S., and if I order from an American source, I have to pay for shipping, exchange, etc. I'll look into it the next few days and let you all know how it came out.

Duct tape...LOL

A bolt would work ok, just need a decent size one or a couple smaller ones...3/8's maybe. Perhaps put the two halves together hook onto the yokes on either end and hold them closed with a ratchet strap? or chain? thats assuming you dont run it forever like that. HTH

Until you find a "correct" levelling box, you can go to your local farm store and buy a generic one. Farmex (brand) makes one that will fit for less than $50.

Good luck!
