What a relief I got today. I went to get a compression tester to find my engine problems and decided to pick up some new plugs as well. I put the new plugs in and she fired up and ran fine so apparently my head gasket and valves are still good. when I look at the old plugs they look fine, but when I tested them for spark two of them are complete duds. when I was trouble shooting the other night I was checking for spark by using a spare plug and all the wires fired fine. I assumed that since I just had the plugs out and they looked good that they were good. Supposed the old saw about assuming things still holds true! Thanks for the help, Andy

I used to have that trouble with a certain brand of spark plug all the time. It might have been other stuff that got fixed too, but as it happened on several N's I don't go for the Champions anymore. They seem to foul out too easily on rich or oily mixtures. Other brands aren't as pretty and tend to get rusty but having the tractor running is kinda important. Inquiring brain cells want to know... ;-)

Truck,

I had plugs fouling out until I went from H10 to H12 Champions. No problems since. I wouldn't hesitate to use the 437's either.

Maybe I'm just lucky.

N - joy.
