I was out splitting wood with my pto driven woodsplitter, and was having fun doing it, can you imagine that, well the last few times I used it I had the idea of taking an old exhaust pipe cutting off the flange that would normally go into the exhaust manifold, and it fits inside of the back of the pipe, well I eat no more fumes this way,, I just wanted to share this little trick with you guys,,, it ends up being straight up in the air above you while you are working,, and the fumes just rise up instead of back towards you and then up,, I think it is one of the easiest ways to avoid sucking those fumes when behind the tractor for an extended period of time, I can now keep the wife out there with me longer hahahaha..

Hi Pat. I've been looking around for a PTO spliter. What kind do you have and where did you pick it up. Ron

pat,

I've also used a piece of flexible exhaust pipe, large enough to fit over the exhaust. I then bend it to push the exhaust downwind and away from my lungs! Works great!

Ron
