Seems like everytime I need a bolt to replace on the old 9N, the local hardware store doesn't seem to have the right sizes. Most recently was 7/16" stove bolts for a pair of original top links.

Does anyone have a good source for hardware of varying alloys such as hardened, stainless steel, chromed etc.

I am in the process of replacing thepainted or rusted bolts on the tractor that were used to install the components after the main pieces were painted, and were zinc plated and not painted etc. etc. (trying to do a restoration down to the smallest details). thank you in advance. 9N'er

One of the best sources for exact original type Ford bolt and fastner replacement is Roy Nacewicz Enterprises 313-383-2692, he stocks bolts by part number for early Ford Cars. If you look at a early Ford fastner catalog, you will find both standard and special bolts many of which do fit the tractor.

Cold enough? ..you bet it is... 6 degrees above, but winds gusting to 40 MPH. Windchills well below zero. I think I'll go outside and see how the ol' 6V system works n this weather. At zero, just fine...got to go feed those husky dogs anyhow... thanks for the info. 9N'er

Don also has the original style bolts that mount the hood to the dash. I'd probably give him a call first.
