how do ya adjust the outside brake pedal on the right side(seting on tractor)to have both pedals the same height? its a ford 8n. there was a spring attached to the brake pawl when i got it. do i need to replace this spring or is it not needed? thanks in advance. roger

roger, the right side brake pedal of the 8N is held centered by the brake shoe return springs and that is the position of the pedal. The left side pedal height is adjusted by the adjustable clevis on the brake rod between the left pedal shaft where it exits the clutch housing and the brake arm at the axle trumpet. If your brake shoe return springs are all on and not weak you need no extra springs outside.
