I know this comes up every now and then but here goes again: I just got an e-mail that had ANTIQUE TRACTOR FORD for a subject: came with it's own little attachment (which I did not open) called KLEZ. Norton anti-virus caught it and informed me about it. I have seen these before as I am sure others have if you use your 'puter much. This is the first one that actually had a subject (antique tractor ford) that related to anything I browse in. I know how it works and hope those in my address book are not affected much. It's just agrravating that some idiot gets some evil pleasure out of these destructive things. Anybody else here have this happen?

I'll second the notion that viri authors should be severly punished.

I think the gov't should go after them and classify them as terrorists.. information technology terrorists.

If ia virus infects / damages a us gov't machine.. then I think that would be grounds for the case.

If these viri writers started getting tracked down, prosecuted as terrorists and spending 20-30 years in a prison maybee the message would get around to do something more constructive with their brain...

We had this one going around at work about a year ago and it is a bugger. Fortunately its damage to personal machines is minimal but it can mess up large servers. Agree with Dell...there will be a special place in helll for virus writers, right next to telemarketers.

Ron..... ...that Klez virus is insidious.

I automatically delete any email with about 140k attachment, even if the email title sounds like a tractor related question or even if the email author has a name I recoginize. I delete all 140k emails..... .....Dell, who agrees, virus writers deserve to go straight to he11
