I have seen a lot of posts where folks are trying to lift big round bales with a bale spike. My friend frm Texas sent me pics oF a "Bale Buggy" that I thought was neat. I don't know where they got it but it looks easy to make.

Where does a guy buy one of these, or are they home-made? How much is one of these?

Arne..... ...I've seen "doodle-buggs" that have an over-reaching arm that pickup the bale sidewize instead of endwize like your bigbale hauler. Thanks for sharing..... ....Dell

Thanks Dell,

I thought it was a good alternative to a bale spike.

I can't tell in the pics, but does it use a spike to lift the bale or does it have something that goes under the bale and lifts?

Looks like a great idea for level land. Might be a wee much going down a steep hillside.I guess it would depend on the hay and the operator.

It has two round tines, set about 1/3 the diameter of the bale apart. I hear you about hilly ground. That goes with any trailer with any weight to it and the use of an N.
