On my dad's loader, there was a felt filter in the bottom of the reservoir tank. We didn't realize at first that it even had a filter and wasted a lot of time looking for other problems. I wouldn't be surprised if there is one on your loader (don't know enough about Dearborns to know for sure). Given that so many others seem to suspect water contamination, what color is the fluid? Is it milky at all? I think Geoff has a good point. It may be that the cylinders aren't bled of air yet after the fluid change. If this is the problem, his advice is right. As for the fluid, I think my dad uses a lighter grade in his loader. How does the new stuff compare with what was in there before -- is it noticeably thicker? How well does it flow in the cold weather? If it's too thick, that could cause cavitation in the pump and the same symptoms as a clogged filter or return line. You've reached the limit for what I know about hydraulics -- and most of what I do know is pretty general. As a result, I don't have any clear solutions. Maybe it's time to visit a local repair shop and see what they say?
