Just got my n back together and I need to know if the red wire from the battery goes to the + pole on the coil or the - pole on the coil. so then I will know if the wire to the distributer goes to the + or - pole on the coil. This is a 6 volt system with a pos ground thanks philip

Connect your red wire from your ignition switch to your sidemount coil (-) terminal for a positive grounded 6 volt battery..... .Dell

The coil should be oriented the same way as the battery. If the battery + post is ground, then the coil + post should connect to the points, and thence to ground, and the coil - post should connect to the key switch.

If the battery - post is ground, then the coil - post should connect to the points and thence to ground, and the coil + post should connect to the key switch.
