8n motor apart .......sleeve completly in oil pan

Took my 8n apart to day...The front cylinder sleeve was in the oil pan and the piston was working in the block....The block had some groves cut in it ...Do you think it would be ok to rebuilt or should it be bored out for the .090 sleeves????? ?Has any one had this do??? What do you think it would cost to have the engine bored?? THANKS Archie

Archie, You do have a problem. How did the sleeve get down there? Even the .040 sleeves have a lip on the top to keep them from going down. Take it to a good machine shop and ask the machinest if it can be saved. Hopefully he can rebore it for the .090 sleeve or maybe he can get a oversized sleeve for it. It ain't going to be cheep.
