I am making a front axle bracket for my loader and would like to know what the axle pivot pin dimensions are. Seems to me I saw an OD dimension of 1.75". Is this true. Also, is this pin a stock piece of 11/2" pipe or is it tubing?

Send me your email adress and I will send you some drawings and a pitcher. On mine the axle pin does not go threw the bracket for the loader pump mount. the bracket has a resess were it fits over the axle pin.

Andy. I have one on my 51 8N that I would swap out for a regular one. I think it was for a Dearborn loader. It has a plate with two studs coming out of it which I guess is for the pump bracket. Chuck A.

Whoa up!! I had my mind on 841. The pin is held in by a bolt. Check to make sure the bolt and the pipe are both tight in their brackets, THEN, check for slack in the bushing. There should be NO wear at the ends of the pin, only in the middle where the axle pivots. If the bolt has been run loose, you can put some weld at the anchor end so that when you tighten the bolt, it will ticghten the pin in the hole. A little weld goes a long way. It's still not an expensive fix, less than $30.00 for both, I was quoted (not from Ford)

I believe your particular tractor, it screws in, It's not a piece of pipe, although it's hollow. Best I remember, it's not all that expensive.
