Have a chance to buy a ferguson 2 bottom plow. Can you still find parts? This plow is in pretty bad shape.

The wearing parts are still available unless it has rare scotch, blackland, stubble or slat bottoms, a poor one should bring $150.00.

Hi Rusty,

I have an old Ferguson two bottom turning plow I have had for years. The only thing I have replaced is the plowshares on the bottom of the moldboards. These (plowshares) are probably obsolete and hard to find anymore. However, the plow still does a good job of turning the soil when it adjusted right.

I have heard some say that you can cut and weld an old steel leaf spring to the point of the plow. They say the spring steel is hard and will last a while. My plow points are still pretty good for now. I don’t know if I would pay a lot of money for one of these plows though. I paid $200 for mine in 1979. Rick H. Ga.

I don't think parts are available. I have a nice old one in great shape that I am afraid has become "disposable"....when it's worn out I guess its going to the scrap yard....but maybe if you get the model number, you can ask again and find out for sure.

Take Care
Steve

Don't send it to the scrap yard, it is worth selling.
