a couple of days ago i got a call from my neighbour. she was in a panic..she and her boyfriend decided to go for a nice nature walk. to get to the trail, they had go down a hill and park.
the weather here has been nice and warm, about +15c. we have had LOTS of snow. the combination caused this hill to become really muddy.
i will use any excuse to use the 48, at least that is what the wife tells me.
down the road i go. its about a mile and a half.
when i reach the hill, there is a nice new kabota sitting there. the owner is at my buddys vehickle. i walk over and see what is up.
THIS IS WHERE I START TO LOOSE IT...
that city slicken, yupee, wana be farmer,[you know the type, $30,000 tractor to play with on 2 acres on weekends when he drives up from the city....grrrrr ] wanted $150 to pull him out. after a few choice words, i told him, he best get back up the hill and park the tractor and his selfish additude back in the barn. i was so pumped by this time, i think i could have pulled him out with out the tractor...lol
i want down, hooked up the chain and pulled him right to the top of the hill in about 10 minutes.
he kept trying to give me money...i told him i didnt want the money, thats what GOOD neighbours do.
by the time i got home, the flag was up for mail.
inside the box was a bottle of home made red wine and a $50 bill.
i was pretty impressed....
