The link below has a cross reference on it for many of the oil filters. You can get them at NAPA, FNH, and most auto parts stores.

Rick..... ....would you believe that your "valve" is the block water drain valve and that it is suppost to be there?

And unless you are an "originality enthusist", instead of trying to find a "oil filter canister" from a boneyard, I'd get a "spin-on" oilfilter adaptor from JC Whitney $20 or local hot-rod shop.

There is nothing wrong with the N-Oilfilter canister set-up. You seem to be confused by the concept of having to remove a filter insert from inside a canister.

Unlike modern engines where all the oil is filtered BEFORE going thru the oil gallerys, the N-Oilfilter is a "partial" filter that filters about 15% of the oil that is pumped before it is dumped back into the oilpan at the governor oil input.

Remember, at the time of the N-Tractor design, oilfilters were optional extras on allotta automobiles..... ..... Dell

Thanks! It was a Blue Belly when I bought it. When I rebuilt the engine I painted all the engine red. I'll paint the rest red in the future. ;-}

Those are 16" rims I bought from Don B. at J U S T 8 N s. They were $35 a piece and then I mounted regular 16" truck tires on them. At the time I was using a front end loader and the standard 19" tires would almost go flat when I had a load in the bucket. The truck tires will carry a lot more weight.

Sounder..... ...6-bolt NAA rims fit 6 bolt N's rims. But 19" tires are NOT the "strongest" in the world. Personally, I think 19" tires on NAA would look weird..... ....Dell

I agree.. I parked my 8n with the 19's next to the naa today.. and pictured it in my head.. it just didn't look as beefy...

What did the NAA come with stock?

thanks

fram C3 filter cartridge fits the oil filter canister

NAPA has them.

What valve is now gone? If it is in the block in front of the starter, I think my 2N has one too.
