Many of you are responsible for making it possible for someone with limited experience like myself to build enough confidence to undertake the restoration of now three Ford Tractors. This didn't come from the website it came from you. In return I try to help others (kind of a pay it forward kind of thing). I haven't attended my first tractor show yet but can't wait to do so. I hope I meet some of you long enough to say thanks for your help in person. This is now my favorite hobby and believe me I have a billion.

As far as the competition goes for sales, why can't the owners do like others do in retail, promise the lowest prices. All I have to do at my Wally World is tell them that Target is selling for X. Sometimes I get an additional 10% discount from the lowest price. That's what Sears website says about its prices. I think everybody would be happy with that.

If you do find it absolutely necessary to leave this forum much like the Colonists did the British 200 years ago, please let me know where the new Promised Land will be.

Thanks To All

RICK/GA

It is nice to go to the tractor shows. I went to one in starke twice now.. and the last time I was able to meet one of our members fron Tallahasse. I also met one guy while at a bone yard in ocala.

It is nice to shake hands with someone you've 'typed' at for months / years.

If anyone knows of tractor shows.. we should post them, and let everyone know who is going.. perhaps the membership can get some face time.

Hey Rick, how are you doing with your tranny rebuild.?I started on mine last week, not to bad tearing it down, but got sticker shock on how much the new gears are from the dealer.Have to go with aftermarket gears and a couple of used ones.I'll be ordering all of my parts this week and get started on the rebuild,I'll keep you posted. If you have any questions, e-mail me.
