well I hope I learned how to post pictures, I will get one up of my 9n, I was wondering if anyone here knows what kind of tool this is, I thought I knew once but I forgot,,, It says newbedford copper co on it,, I am thinking some kind of silver\copper\leadsmith tool, thanks and sorry for it being so far off topic,But I have found many interests in this forum, I dont want to get any heat off this but , I wanted to ask, if it offends anyone sorry again, .. thanks pat

I thought all tools were tractor tools? Especially big hammers, pry bars and torches.

Come to think of it.. I think every tool I own, has at one time or another touched one of my tractors...

Pat,

That tool is a soldering iron. It was used by heating the big mass of metal on the end with a blow torch and then using the residual heat in the "iron" to solder.

It is a soldering iron. Warm it up and take it to the work piece. Probably used for copper roofing or other sheet metal repairs. Looks a little large for surface mount components in your PC ;) .
