I AM GOING TO LOOK AT A 8N THIS WEEKEND. THE GUY SAID IT CAME WITH ONE OF TWO BRUSH HOGS. A JOHN D (YOU KNOW THAT FUNNY GREEN TRACTOR)OR A SIDWINDER. HE SAID BOTH ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF A SIDEWINDER BRUSH HOG. ARE THEY ANY GOOD, CAN YOU GET PARTS FOR THEM, AND ARE THEY THAT EXPENSIVE TO BUY NEW. BETTER YET, OF THE TWO ABOVE WHAT WOULD BE THE BETTER OF THE TWO TO PURCHASE IF BOTH ARE IN SAME CONDITION???

THANKS FOR THE HELP GUYS. BYRON

I have a john deere 513 with slip clutch. Mighty fine. The old lady can run over anything with it. And I don't have to replace sheer pins. The draw back to a slip clutch is periodic clutch maintance. You need to be sure they will actually slip.
