Ok guys this may seem like a dumb question but I am asking anyway ,, on a tractor. bigger than an N has a "3 point hitch " category 2-1" ,,, what exactly does that mean, it says something like cat 1 hitch category 2 pto, I think,, does the long and short of this mean that I can use the same implements I use on my 9n, because they are category 1,, like my bush hog from my (n can I use this on this newer tractor?? thanks pat

You can use any Cat-1 impliment on a Cat-2 tractor. Cat-2 is heavier duty. The PTO may need an adapter because Cat-2s have a larger shaft. The "Ns" originally had a 1 1/4" shaft while the newer ones have a larger shaft. Also you may find that the Cat-1 (7/8" dia.) mounting pins are smaller than a Cat-2 (1 1/8" dia.). A bushing will work.

thanks,, thats what I was thinking, but wanted to be sure I had it right, I have to look closer, at the tractor, I think it comes with a reversable link end. I just did not want to , or could afford to get new implements with the new tractor, thansk again, pat
