I rebuilt the carb, put a new carb to manifold gasket and manifold to block gasket on and the idle air metering screw makes no differnce in how the tractor idles. There has to be a leak, right? I replace all the o-rings and the gasket in the carb. Where do these normally leak? I sprayed starter fluid around the carb while it was running and no differnce. Any ideas?

TIA
Ron

Make sure you have the tractor at the correct idle speed when you are trying to adjust the idle mixture. If you have the throttle plate open enough you could be out of the idle circuit and then the idle mixture screw won't make any difference on your mixture adj.

Ron..... ..I wouldn't use ether quick start spraying around trying to find your "airleak". I use WD-40 because it is oilbased and doesn't evaporate fast. Usually airleak is the throttle shaft seal. Thats the one you can't get to eazily. Its behind the carb next to the engine block. Some carb kits don't include the seal..... ...Dell
