If you pour a big slug of MMO into a partial tank of gas, you will lean the mixture by the relative percentage (since the MMO does not ignite effectively but still takes up volume through the carb). So let's say you start with 2 gallons of gas and add a pint of MMO. This dilutes the air-fuel ratio by 6%. So if you started with a 14:1 air-fuel-ratio, you end up at 15:1. This might be getting close enough to lean mis-fire that you get the "hunting" behavior of the governor, especially as the engine passes through a speed and load range where the carb naturally runs lean. If you add more gasoline to the tank, you can reduce this effect. Alternatively, try enrichening the main mixture screw on the carb, at least until you use up the MMO. If this does not help, then do what Dell says. Many teen age boys learn (the hard way) not to try to "help" their dirt bikes by putting in extra 2 cycle engine oil. Sure, the engine gets more oil, but it also leans out the mixture, and too much leaning burns a hole in the top of the piston.
