I locked my NAA in a cargo container up at my deer camp this past November to keep it out of the weather, and away from folks who might wanna "borrow" parts from it. Well, with all the snow we got there in the NY Catskills this winter, it was way too much like work to dig the snow away from the containers doors, and my tractor just sat there, dark & cold for the last 4 months. I finally got the doors open this weekend, and had resigned myself to whatever work it was gonna take to start it, maybe at least having to jump the battery. Well, just for grins, I turned on the ignition, opened up the valve at the sediment bowl & hit the starter...You guys woulda got a big laugh watchin' me doin' the "Happy Dance" when that thing started up without even hesitating !! My neighbor (who's NAA NEVER starts up because he has never done any maintenance to it in the last 10 years) was standing there & just walked away, shaking his head & muttering something about "...dang flatlander *%$*#@ lucky $%*&#@! ..." It really was kinda nice hearing it running again. I've been smiling for two days now. Have a great day, guys....

Polish Mike,

I had a similar experiance with my NAA. It sat at my deer camp from the first of december to March 22. I was at the camp just to get away from the city. I thought I'd fire up the tractor and go for a spin. When I hit the starter button she cranked over but no fire. I tried a couple more times and quit just before the battery gave out. I figured I would have my work cut out for me on the trip. A couple of hours later I realized I taken the rotor out. Got the rotor out of the shed, out it in and gave a try. The battery had just enough juice to turn her twice but that was all she needed to run.
