I have just aquired a Sherman Transmission. Does anyone know where I can get a parts and service manuel for it? Are parts available? One part I need is the shift lever. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Congratulations and good luck! It may take you awhile to gather the manuals and the parts you need (part of the fun). A good working unit is valuable. If you are in central Iowa I can give you a mechanic's name who does good work on and who has a few parts for Shermans. Mike-Iowa

Red..... ....the I&T FO-4 manual has an exploded Sherman parts layout but no useable parts numbers. The only parts availablity that I am aware of is the Sherman input shaft seal is the same seal that is the N-tranny input shaft seal ($3 cheap). Check out all the links in John Smith's sherman page for more info and pixs of shifting levers. Really not to difficult to bend your own..... .....respectfully, Dell
