I have a 1943 2n with foot brake levers that are very hard to push down I'm 230+ pounds and have to stand on them to make them go down I've taken them apart and oiled them with no change. is there something else I can do to fix this problem?

not a lot of information to work with

if your brake shoes are greasy then the extra weight might be enough to get some braking force

best way to tell for sure is pull the drums. likely you will find the shoes need replacing or cleaning. careful with the wheels and tires if they are liquid filled.

happy new year

mine were the same. I took the hubs off when replacing my brakes, and held them in a vise while spinning the foot levers around and around, while spraying all sorts of chemicals in there. I think the one that worked was "Brake Cleaner". It took a while. But mine were so gunked up the brakes would not center. Now they work great. Of course, that was after "Sure SEALS" and new pads.

I used lithium grease on the shaft after I got it free. As you know this is a messy job.

Good Luck Steve
