Right under the ammeter there is a little block that has a bunch of wires running into it. it doesnt seem to have any purpouse except to connect wires together. What is this thing and what is its purpouse? Thanks in advance for the advice! I am in the middle of a rewire job and I want to get my ducks in a row.

Like Mike said.. it is a wiring block. I will add though that if yours is a front mount model.. that wiring block also houses your ballast resistor.. if a side mount model.. then it is just a wiring point.

Hi Rob, That's a terminal block used for connecting circuits. Good luck with the re-wire.
