I know it is a jack, matter of fact it comes in handy moving things around with the big wheels though they get in the way if you don't have good ground clearence. I would like to "restore" it though and wondered if anybody is familiar with what color it should be. I could guess yellow but it would be a guess 'cause the dominant color now is rust. I can faintly make out lettering on the handle that reads yellow jackett. Any of you guys know? I tried on the tool talk forum and got no response. Thanks in advance.

Looks like it might be an old bomb carrrier from WWII or WW1, to lift bombs up to attach to the wings of aircraft.....

Just a guess,

That would be neat if someone could confirm it. I use it to lift my bombs(tractors). :-)

I don't have a clue but it looks more like a dolly than a jack, maybe for moveing a trailer, airplane or a truck full of crisp, ice cold Coors Light !!! Yum (-:

Seems I've heard that name before "Yellow Jacket", I'll ask around at work tomorrow see what I can find out.

later,dave
