Man those tires are heavy!!! gonna have to get a buddy to help me lift them on the truck. I hit the center disk nuts with my air impact wrench and they didn't budge. From looking at the posts I assume the one that blew is the original rim and the other is a replacement rim. Any suggestions as to getting these things loose? If I ever manage to get them apart and find that the center disk is shot too, where can I find a new center and how much do they usually run? Anyone in Central Virginia (Charlottesville) know of anyone that does house calls for tractor tires? Thanks again for the help!

Load your wheels from a bank, ditch, or up a ramp. Just don't let them get on you. Look in the phone book for 'ag tire service'. Email me about centers. I've seen some so bad I have had to use a fire wrench on the bolts.

The first time I separated my rims and centers I had to let them soak in PB Blaster for a few hours. Then with the air impact they worked loose. I think that one or two still required a 3/4 drive socket and a 4' cheater bar and my 250# jumping on it. They are a bugger.

I'd be surprised if your center disk is shot-it's possible but pretty rare unless the CalChor leaked onto them for a very long time. Even lots of surface rust does not hurt them-only rust through or physical damage/huge dents. They are really thick and heavy metal.
