RECENTLY BOUGHT A 9N THAT HAS BEEN WIRED NEG GROUND, RUNS AND STARTS GREAT, EVERYTHING WORKS FINE, CURIOUS ABOUT GENERATOR PERFORMANCE SINCE THIS REWIRE?, HOW DO I TEST, HOW DO I REPOLARIZE IF NEEDED. BY THE WAY, STILL 6V.

if the Gen is still using the cutout relay on top, just jumper from the Gen side to the Batt side with a piece of 10 gauge wire for a second. This will create a strong magnetic field in your pole shoes inside the field case, and when power is removed, a handful of residual magnetism will be left behind to help get your Gen started next time

Assuming it's otherwise stock -- what the other Jim said is correct.

And if you want to return your 9N to the original positive ground configuration, just swap the battery leads and then follow his instructions to polarize the generator.

Nothing else on the tractor needs to change. The starter doesn't care about polarity, and the front-mount ignition system may actually work better with the correct polarity.
