I am looking for an original TAURUS taillight RED lens and WhITE license plate lense and window hardware. I have the housing, just need to replace parts; broken red lens, missing clear lens. Picked up an original TAURUS light with original bracket and the original fender bracket for $25.00 from a salvage yard. Thanks...

TAURUS UPDATE---
I was informed by a gentleman who wrote an article for a Ferguson club newsletter on the lights and he said the chrome bezels were not available until the 8N period, otherwise were painted grey like the Fergusons. Also, the chrome bezel was used on Ferguson models beginning with the TO35 and was optional. Later, they switched to Hall. If'N you have a TAURUS taillight, I'd hang on to it as parts will soon be available as well as exact reproductions. There, I got thru it without any mention of Minnkota, Delco, Ebay, Radio Shack, Northern, TSC, NAPA, or Wal-Mart.

Nobody made me a YT cop, flame-head. I didn't realize Taurus taillights fit on a tractor. Kimmie makes the rules. If I gotta play by 'em, I reckon everybody should play by 'em.

At least you signed your name, "Jerk"... your mama sure named you right.

C'Mon, Bob-
Let's not get into a silly name calling scrap over this...I simply came across a near-mint condition original TAURUS taillight which were issued in the 9N, 2N, and early 8N lighting kits, and just need to replace some parts. I merely asked for anyone who may have the parts that I need them. I don't see any advertisiN' in my question.

Respectfully

It is a shame certain old fools have to be arrogant most of the time.

Hey Tim..... ...I thought "TAURUS" was one of the modern Ford automobiles they're selling.

Couldn't understand why you were looking for a Taurus tailight lens. I even went back to your "original" question, it doesn't even mention that it is a tractor tailight..... .boy what the lack of 1 or 2 words can do..... ...respectfully, Dell

who thinks Dennis Carpenter Ford Repo Parts is now makeing OEM tractor taillights parts, check with don b

Hey Dell-
I knew instantly that the misunderstanding would be directed to the car. But, since this is the Ford N-Series forum, and I did not post OT, I thought I wouldn't need to explain. Here goes for the record: The TAURUS taillights were issued with 9N,2N, and early 8N lighting kits as well as the 1948-1953 Ferguson TO20 tractors. I spoke with John Smith and he believes the Ford bezels were chrome and the Fergie bezels were painted, but he's not 100% sure. The DUOLAMP and the TAURUS lamps do not have interchangeable parts. Dennis has been trying to get the TAURUS light tooling correct just as he has done with the other lights [Tract-O-Lite; DUOLAMP] and other repro parts. We want good quality repros and so does he and Don. If the die does not stamp out the part correctly, it needs to be CNC 3D machined out again and tried all over. As far as my post, I guess this is why I don't come here often anymore. One person answered my question and he sent me a private email because he did not want to get involved in all the nit-picking, whining that goes on here. I could say a few words to the negative but I won't...

Respectfully Tim "Ploughman" Daley

Tim..... ...like you agreed, using the name Taurus could have been "mis-leading" even on a Ford Tractor board. Like I said, sometimes for the lack of 2 or 3 words to prevent mis-understanding, taint all your fault. Thanks for fuller explaination. Sorry you feel that N-Board is "un-friendly" and full of nit-pickers and whineers..... ..Dell

Thanks for posting the information on the lights. I did not know that the Ferguson tail lights were the same as the Ford ones. I also am geting somewhat turned off by this site with all of the nitpicking. There is some good information here but it is a very touchy place to tread.
