Is anyone familiar or know a Mr. Don Horner that lives in Ohio? and know where he lives? I know it's a far flung question, but I believe he is a Ford tractor collector and also MAY be a parts man as well. To make a long story short, I'll be in Ohio for a couple weeks on business, and thought I may take a N-journey on a weeeknd day and call to inquire about a visit with Don if he does indeed collect Ford tractors and/or sell vintage parts. In addition, does anyone have any ideas about an interesting place to visit regarding Ford tractors or similar in the Ohio area? I'll be in Cincinnati and venturing north to Cleveland at some point. Thank you for your patience and insights regarding this post. 9N'er

I've known Don for a long time and just about all the parts I've needed over the years to restore my Jubilee came from his dealership. My son and I were recently at his home and bought some parts from him. He has an article in the winter 2001 "N Newsletter" and on page 16 is a photo of his 47 8N and 711 one-armed loader. He is surely one heck of a nice guy, knows his Ford tractors, and extremely helpful in offering advice for tractor problems . I think as long as your are going to be in Northeast Ohio, I would give Don a call and make arrangements for a visit.

If you like rusty old iron the traveling Titanic exhibit is in Cincinnati thru March 1st. Takes advanced ticket purchase, see Ticketmaster.

Apologize for getting off subject, but if N activities are hard to find highly reccomend a visit to the Rock & Roll hall of fame. Second choice of course.

The Don Horner you are looking for lives at 4497 Old Orchard Drive, Geneva, OH 44041. The phone
number he gives is (440) 466-2375 after 7 PM. Both he and his father were Ford tractor dealers
back in the good old days. Nice fella! I've
spoken with him by phone and want to do what
you are planning on doing.

Tom, That ain't too far from Dearborn and the Henry Ford museum. I have heard the 8N on display there now is a dog compared to tractors owned by our own board members, but it is a fascinating place to visit if you are into old iron and other Americana.

There are two Donald Homer's listed in Ohio:
One is in Kettering 937-299-0501, one is in Toledo at 419-478-7800. Kettering is ringing a bell for me, but I'm not sure where I came accross it. Here is a great link for phone numbers:

The reverse lookup is great but it only finds listed numbers.
