Could some one tell me what size the nut is that holds the rear wheel on? I can't seem to find it in my manual. TIA

...just because you have 450 lb-ft of torque on the nut and it is locked everything is NOT good.
The axle and hub are tapered splines. Over time, the loose hub wears the hub spline and eventually the axle spline. All of this wear and wobble destroys oil seals and loss of brakes.
Bite the bullet and fix'em right, please.

I've just tightened mine. I have a 2" safety clip type on the right side and and a 1 7/8" squeezem type nut on the left.

I use 3/4" drive 1-15/16 socket on my 2-part "squeez'em" 8N rear axle nut. I think thats the same size for the safety clippy rear axle nut. (take the safety wire clip out first). Torque that big ol' axlenut 450 ft/lb. I use a 6' cheaterbar with both rear wheels on the ground..... ....Dell
