Drove 100 miles to one of my favorite tractor wreckers only to find out they are selling out and have sent 3/4 of the stock to the scrape yard! I did get an 8n gen., 3 'new-old stock rad caps, break shoes for 2n, a bumper, dip sticks, and some small parts. Stopped at snaller wreckerand picked up aset of orig 8x32 rims one good tire, Wagner WM4 loader for 600-800, 3pt Freeman hyd. boom, 3pt rear loader hyd. cylinder. Started home saw items by the road in front of nice house 10 min. later I had bought good 7 ft. blade, 2 furrow ferguson disc plow in good cond., bent blade for parts and some small pieces only $500. Great day, but sorry about wrecker closing & these good parts that went for scrape. BURT.

Ironically I have a N bone yard about 45 minutes from my house. The old guy has been on deaths doorway for the last 8 years.. and only open a day a month or so. Mostly his grandson goes down on the weekends, and sells a few of the tractors that are repaired and waiting for sale, or a trailer or two. Problem is.. the grandson doesn't know what to do about all the N parts. I told him last time iw as down there that he needs to sell them.. heck I told him he could even do it on the internet.. and I would gladly help.

This place has lots of N carcasses stacked and laying around.

I've only been by on 2 occasions when he was open, but made the most of the 2 trips, as i got a good clean set of original 19" rims for my an and one new front tire, and a tranny oil dipstick I wanted.

I need to stop by again one day and see how the old guy is doing.

I'm not the kind that lurks around after someone dies to make a quick deal.. but i would hate to see all those N's go to the local metal recycler... I would gladly get a few carcasses loaded up and hauled to my house to tinker with...

I think I'll talk to the grandson again, see what he says.

That wouldn't happen to be Don Watson's place that's selling out, would it? I haven't been up there for a while.
