Remote hydraulic for NAA

Anyone have experience with the various remote hydraulic valves that were offered for the NAA? There are references to them at the end of the shop manuals and I have gotten some info from N-news archives. I'm wondering if 1. Are these (or something similar) available today? 2. How much use are(were) they? 3. Could you use them to hook up a hydraulic top link for positioning a back blade, dirt scoop, etc.?

Thanks for the help.

Sadly, I imagine all the oem ones are no longer available... perhaps you might luck up on ebay.. but I've never talked to anyone here that was lucky enought to have one.

You might show those drawing to a good hydraulic man, and he might be able to cobble something up for you.

Keep in mind that even if you do get a remote.. you are still left with the limited flow / pressure that these N's produce... something like 2.9gpm / 1700 psi.. though not great for a loader.. sounds decent for hyd top link!

Let us know what you find.. I've always toyed with the idea of carting my NAA down to do the same.

Alternately, if you have the later piston replacement hyd pump, the hyd lines are exposed at the bottom right side near the running board... you could always add a power beyond or diverter blockthere, and aftermarked remotes.. etc...

"You might show those drawings to a good hydraulic man" Zane, are you bitin'? Soundguy, I'm pretty ignorant of hydraulics but do realize the limits of the integral system. I just thought this would be handy on a box blade, dirt scoop, etc. One picture I saw showed it hooked up to a double acting ram used to adjust a disc harrow. I guess I'm wondering if its worth chasing. Or was it a failed experiment when offered originally with the tractor.

I imagine the integral hyd's are fine for a small cylinder such as a adjustable toplink or disc-lift hyd's.
