The FO-4 manual has many of the specs you are looking for.

Make sure you use the brass nuts, that way you won't pull the studs out of the head when you next remove the manifold - I think the brass nuts are torqued at 27 ft lbs. I've seen it in the archives.

soft 7/16"-14 is 32 ft-lbs fine thread is +9% or 35 ft-lbs. Source: "Pocket Ref." shirt pocket book available at checkout stand at a Kansas City Ace Hdwe store. 540-somepages of specs on everything from "Ten" radio codes, Clark degrees of hardness, glues, solvents, paints & finishes, physical constants, wire amperage, to signs of the zodiac.

That's a soft steel torque so brass is likely even less.

I replaced my manifold a few years ago , before I had a manual , snug is good , but not to tight. Brass nuts are great.

My manual says 50 to 55 ft lbs for the nuts attaching the HEAD. The manifold doesn't need near so much, especially brass nuts. I don't have the number but 50 is too much... duey

According to Ford Motor, torque from 40 to 50 foot pounds with a new gasket.
