I live in south Louisiana, 30 miles from the gulf of Mexico, if I win the "N" tractor faffle in Canada, and if I can figure out a way to go get it and bring it back to Louisiana, I'll have a long trip too, but if I win it, it will make the trip worth while.

If you win I will look after it until you get time to pick it up, better allow 2-3 extra days for us to "play" while your here. Tractor hauling I shipped my 9n141 from Floida to Ont., also 541 from S.C. Anything over 200 miles I have shipped, its cheaper. For example Bryans Auction shipped 3-8ns 250 miles for $500 Can. Costs me $100 to drive the truck without load to the auction! good luck BURT.

Two questions:

1) Being a light tractor, and knowing aircraft tugs are heavy, some having 2" thick cast iron fenders, were any special provisions made for adding weight to the 9N?

2) Are there any pictures available?

Mark, the new owner figured the "TUG" to be #3600. That's about #1100 heavier than normal 9-N. The only obvious provisions for weight were, smaller wheels and tire. Rear tires & wheels resembled 18 wheelers. Front tires and wheels appeared as forklift style. Another noticeable item, was a hand brake. As for pics. I don't have much look posting on this board. However, if you send me your email, I may be able to get my daughter to send them to you. Then maybe you could post them!! Ron Ca.

For a low houred, Unrestored 661 at the right price I'd be willing to travel a pretty good hike.
Of course I have some vacation time coming and would be interested in a road trip for most any reason.

I have made a few trips to NW lower MI to bring back Ford implements an 8N, a 960, 3 section 3P spring tooth, field cultivator, disc, blade, 3 bottom plow, front and rear cultivators for the 960, one armed loader, utility lift platform, some parts plus several gas pumps. Four or five round trips of 2680 miles each.

Just last weekend I made a 2400 mile round trip from Ohio to Texas for an early 1939 9n. The price was right, but the tractor was even better!!

I went from NC to Dads farm in IN to get mine. 1600 miles round trip. The tractor was free and it only cost Me about $300 in gas and food for Myself and 2 buddies that went to help drive about 30hrs round trip straight up and back. Would do it again if I found one at the right price.
