Was working this weekend with the N having a great time. Pulled some really big logs out of the woods. One of them was probably 2 feet in diameter and maybe 25 feet long. The N strained but didn't stall. It did loose traction and started to dig holes. I got on some better ground where I thought I would get better traction. I must have had better traction since the N pulled so hard it snapped the chain. It was 1200 lb chain and the N pulled it right apart. It is even welded links. Amazing the pulling power from just over 20hp if you can get traction. Gotta cut that log into two pieces before it is coming out.

Also, had some free time and I got the girlfriend on for a ride. She hadn't driven a standard for several years so the notion of a clutch as awkward for her. A quick lession and off she went (in second gear, sherman low). She rode around the field for five minutes or so. Then she made a pass by me and yelled she couldn't get it to stop. She showed me by standing on the right brake. Sure enough, it wouldn't stop. Then I realized she wasn't pushing the clutch. I yelled to press the clutch and she smiled and then stopped just fine. Next time I think I'll make sure it is full of gas and has the brush hog attached. Here's a pic. Think she's having fun?

You are sure getting some hours out of that tractor. Still looks nice too. Geared right 20+ hp can do a lot with all that low end tork. Mark H.
