An old man I never met before, called me today! His 8-N had quite him while discing a fire break around his 160 acres. I went out there and replaced points and coil. On six volt all original N. Which he has owed 55 years. As luck would have it. The N, in the middle of no-where quit under a tree, in a creek-bed. ( a big plus in this Calif. 90 degree heat). My efforts were successfull! To see that 88 year old man at the bottom of the creek bed throwing me high fives, would make your heart burst with joy!! Better than a good back rub! I've learned alot on this board. I posted as "9-N Rookie" just over a year ago. Thanks to all. I feel I am makeing the grade. Ron Ca.

That was nice. Ain't it great to be appreciated. I hope to be stuck somewhere with my 8N when I'm 88. I watched an uncle at 85 grade his driveway not long after he had knee surgery. 88 makes for a new goal.
